Aids in replacing the slide stop on 1the 1911 hang gun.
The Slide Stop Horn has been designed specifically for the 1911 “Slide Stop” and may not be useful on other types of hand guns.
When compared to other traditional DIY methods, such as guitar picks, miniature screw drivers and credit cards often used to help insert a “Slide Stop”, the Slide Stop Horn provides strength, better clearance and less chance of scratching for finishes.
The tool requires the use of both hands while inserting the “Slide Stop”. This means that slide must be in position to accept the slide stop without the need to hold the slide against spring pressure. Our take down tools provide this alignment but factory supplied tools may not.
